Masa en masse.
When Chef Masayoshi Takayama set to open his famous three-Michelin-starred New York sushi restaurant in Harrods in London, we were asked by our UK companions Kinn Collective to help out with some chopstick rests and soy dishes.
Each of the little items is made entirely by hand - the chopstick rests carved out from a pre-shaped piece of clay in the right size and curve, and the soy dishes are made with the help of a cutting tool and a curved plaster mould to ensure the perfect size and shape.
The Masa logo is stampled into wet clay on the back of all the products.

The soy dishes are polished so that they get a very smooth surface without being glazed.
