Out of the blue.

Our local two-starred superrestaurant Renaa now serves one of their fabulous creations as a hidden treasure. These shiny blue porcelain spheres stand out strikingly from the otherwise earthy and very natural-looking tableware, adding a different visual element to the twentyish-course dinner.

The production of lidded products require a high degree of precision as each lid and bowl need to be interchangeable. Choosing porcelain makes it even more complicated, as it is the most touchy ceramic material to work with when it comes to deformation.

The spheres are made from white porcelain which is partly covered with a thin layer of blue clay before again being sprayed with a brilliant and shiny cobalt blue glaze.
