Wall objects.

There’s a first for everything and although 2020 might be remembered for other events, it was also the year that we did our first wall project. The starting point was an empty wall, a warm and burnt wall colour called organic red - and a longtime fascination for the surfaces and textures of our products.

Together we decided to work with a series of circular and flat wall objects in different sizes, and to explore a large variation of surfaces, from the smooth to the very textured. We worked on both a light-coloured and a golden-dark-coloured option, both of them combining a selection of our clays and glazes to create a variation of tones.

The final result is a line of five wall objects in different sizes and textures. All but one are set in different shades of off-white, some very matte and some with just slightly more gloss. The smallest, which also has the roughest texture, has a colour that is almost identical to the organic red wall.
